Hogan Lovells advises Azerion on the sale of Whow Games to DoubleDown Interactive

The initial consideration for 100% ownership of Whow Games is EUR 55 million (approximately USD 60.5 million). An additional earn-out payment of up to EUR 10 million is contingent upon Whow Games meeting certain performance targets. 

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Amsterdam, Azerion (EURONEXT: AZRN) is one of Europe’s largest digital advertising and entertainment media platforms. DoubleDown Interactive Co., Ltd. is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web-based platforms, based in Seattle, WA. Whow Games is a premier developer and operator of browser- and mobile-based social casino games centered on the European market. 

Through this acquisition, DoubleDown Interactive aims to drive growth and strengthen its competitiveness in the growing German market.
