Reflecting on President Trump’s first 100 days in office
The securitisation was refinanced through notes listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The senior tranche of the notes was rated AAA(sf) by both DBRS and Fitch, and partially guaranteed by the European Investment Fund (EIF). This marks only the second non-synthetic securitisation transaction in Germany to be backed by an EIF guarantee – Hogan Lovells also advised on the first.
Through the transaction, abcbank was able to offload significant credit risk and free up regulatory capital, enabling it to provide additional financing to medium-sized enterprises.
Hogan Lovells supported abcbank with a cross-office team from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Luxembourg, and Paris, advising on all legal aspects of the securitisation transaction.
