Damian Sternberg advises on all matters of building and planning law, as well as facility-related environmental law. His areas of expertise include all asset classes especially residential, logistics, and commercial properties. Damian also advises on battery energy storage systems, photovoltaic and windfarms. He advises a wide range of national and international clients in new developments, redevelopments, and major transactions. He is regularly involved  in current topics such as energy transition, and accelerating planning processes - including those related to the establishment of a defense industry.

Due to his consistent specialization, Damian Sternberg has extensive experience in dealing with authorities and political decision-makers. Since 2019, he has held the title of Specialist Lawyer for Administrative Law. He is the author of the juris Practice Report “Public Building Law” and holds a teaching position with the City of Düsseldorf.

Representative experience

Advising Exolum on the construction of a new tank and distribution terminal at Düsseldorf Airport.

Advising VGP Group on the acquisition and development of the 173 ac Opel site in Rüsselsheim on environmental and planning law, railway and monument protection law, and other public law matters.

Continuous nationwide advice to Prologis Germany on the development of large-scale logistics and mixed-use commercial developments.

Advising AEW Europe on the sale of various office, retail, and logistics properties (individual transactions and portfolio transactions) by way of asset and share deals.

Advising Qualitas Energy on the acquisition of a wind energy portfolio in Lower Saxony and on the acquisition of seven wind farms in Germany from Swiss investment manager SUSI Partners.
