Vanessa Rinus

Vanessa has experience in structuring capital markets and financing transactions, including securitisations, hybrid financing instruments, as well as asset-based lending and leasing structures. She also advises clients on complex cross-border M&A transactions, restructurings, credit portfolio transactions and real estate transactions. In addition, she has experience in the tax structuring of alternative investment funds, including complex carried interest structures.

Another focus of her work is the tax structuring of innovative business models and products in the financial services and digital sectors. In this context, she particularly supports clients in the development of new digital payment services and advises on tax matters related to blockchain-based business models and crypto assets.

Vanessa also develops tailored solutions for clients in matters of business and wealth succession as well as cross-border relocations.

She represents clients in all stages of tax proceedings – from obtaining binding rulings and supporting tax audits to handling administrative appeals and tax litigation.

Vanessa joined Hogan Lovells in 2020 and is qualified as a lawyer and as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberaterin). Before joining the Düsseldorf office of Hogan Lovells for her legal traineeship, she worked as a research associate at an international law firm.
