Manuel Valdez advises clients on complex corporate and financial transactions across Latin America, with a focus on cross-border financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial regulation. He combines technical precision with a pragmatic approach, helping clients anticipate risks, manage contingencies, and achieve strategic objectives.

He has represented IDB Invest and IDB in multi-jurisdictional financings in the hospitality, energy, and financial sectors, including a US$300 million loan to Engie Energía Perú for the Punta Lomitas wind farm and a US$75 million financing to El Rosado for green energy projects.

Manuel’s M&A work spans both corporate and financial institutions. He advised Mondelez on its US$1.35 billion acquisition of Ricolino, Industrias Bachoco on its US$60 million acquisition of RYC Alimentos, and BNP Paribas on the sale of a majority interest in Cetelem (a top five auto loan company in Mexico) to Grupo Financiero Inbursa and of its Mexican asset manager to Grupo Santander.
