In a landmark pro bono victory years in the making, working alongside the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and ACLU, we secured a 500+ page ruling confirming that Alabama’s congressional redistricting plan violated the Voting Rights Act and intentionally discriminated against Black voters.
Alabama has now agreed to implement a court-ordered map with two majority-Black districts through 2030 — marking a historic milestone for fair representation in the Black Belt.
