Pedro advises clients on a wide range of complex corporate and transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions. He also brings extensive experience on debt financing and capital market transactions. Pedro’s practice extends beyond US domestic transactions, with a strong track record of advising on transactions across Latin America and Europe. 

His dual expertise in civil and common law systems, combined with a deep understanding of both business and legal frameworks, enables clients to transform complex legal challenges into actionable, business-driven strategies that lead to successful cross-border transactions.

Earlier in his career, Pedro practiced for six years in Spain, as an associate in the Corporate and M&A team of the Madrid office of Hogan Lovells.

Bia Foods, together with BDT & MSD Partners, on its US$1.2bn acquisition of Badia Spices, a U.S. global food supplier and manufacturer.

The Design-Build Joint Venture on the US$2.75bn Fargo-Moorehead P3 Floodwater Diversion Project, a diversion channel.

Apex Capital, a private equity firm, on its acquisition of Clorox’s wholly owned subsidiaries in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Cemex on its US$335m sale of its operations in Costa Rica and El Salvador.

The Republic of Ecuador on a “debt-for-nature” swap: a US$1bn offering of Biocorredor Amazónico Bonds by Amazon Conservation DAC, a related US$1bn loan and repurchase of US$1.53bn of Ecuador’s bonds.

The Republic of Ecuador on the landmark reprofiling of its US$17.4bn in international bonds, helping the country complete one of the largest international reprofiling transactions in Latin America.
