As a counsel in our commercial team, Oliver Wilson advises on a variety of arrangements that go to the core of clients' on-going business. These include long-term or other strategic arrangements - joint ventures, restructuring of group purchasing, outsourcings – but also the essential day-to-day commercial operations – distribution and agency agreements, supply of goods, standard terms of business, manufacturing, logistics, consultancy and other service provision arrangements. Focusing on the automotive and TMT, Oliver has many clients with consumer-facing operations. This gives him an in-depth understanding of relevant regulation, including automotive, media and consumer protection law, as well as the practical steps needed to implement it.

In addition to his commercial work, Oliver has acted on a number of M&A deals – the combination of commercial and corporate experience means that he understands not just the anatomy of getting a deal to completion, but also how a relationship will work out once the ink has dried on the contracts. This is a key advantage when advising on joint ventures in particular.
