Press releases | 06 November 2025

Hogan Lovells Madrid M&A team has advised Soletanche Freyssinet, and its subsidiary Nuvia, the specialist nuclear-services subsidiary of VINCI Construction, in the acquisition of the Spanish company Marsein, one of Spain’s leading nuclear service providers, specialized in mechanical maintenance, welding, decommissioning and waste-management services, with decades of experience in major Spanish reactor projects and decommissioning initiatives, including the involvement in Spain’s first nuclear reactor decommissioning operations (Vandellós I, José Cabrera-Zorita, and Santa María de Garoña).

This acquisition has enabled Nuvia, which already operated in 16 countries, to move into Spain, and will enable Marsein to expand its maintenance and decommissioning capabilities by including Nuvia’s technological expertise and resources in its services.

The Corporate M&A team at Hogan Lovells in Madrid has been led by Alex Dolmans (partner) and Hugo Muñoz (senior associate), with the participation of Sara González and Cristina Adanero (junior associates)

The Hogan Lovells team worked closely with Soletanche Freyssinet's corporate development team and with its lead M&A counsel in international transactions, Mr Amauri Costa (Dune Morris, New York). The sellers were advised by Spanish law firm Garrigues and Spanish investment bank Arcano
