Two Corporate & Finance Partners, Mahvesh Qureshi and Matt Eisler, named among 2025 Law360 MVPs

Mahvesh Qureshi was named an MVP in the Life Sciences category following an exceptional year leading some of the most significant life sciences transactions globally. She advised Novartis on its US$3.1 billion acquisition of Anthos Therapeutics, a deal that strengthens Novartis’ cardiovascular portfolio, as well as represented Merck in its US$1.3 billion acquisition of CN201, a novel autoimmune treatment drug. Mahvesh also guided Novartis on its acquisition of Kate Therapeutics and advised Recordati on acquiring global rights to Enjaymo® from Sanofi for up to US$1.075 billion. Her work reflects deep industry expertise and strategic foresight, helping clients navigate complex regulatory and cross-border challenges while advancing treatments for cardiovascular, autoimmune, and rare diseases.

Matt Eisler was named an MVP in the Sports & Betting category after a landmark year shaping some of the most complex and high-value transactions in sports across the globe. He led the US$3 billion Strategic Sports Group–PGA TOUR Enterprises partnership, hailed by Sports Business Journal as “Deal of the Year,” creating a first-of-its-kind structure that brought equity ownership to nearly 200 PGA TOUR players. Matt also spearheaded the successful bid that secured Denver the 16th National Women’s Soccer League franchise for a record-breaking US$110 million, and guided Presidio Investors’ acquisition of Hellas Verona FC, marking Hogan Lovells’ entry into Italy’s Serie A. Matt has also led on groundbreaking NFL ownership deals, including minority stakes in the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers, transactions that required navigating league governance, regulatory compliance, and sensitive ownership transitions. His work redefines the legal playbook for sports investment and cements his reputation as one of the most influential lawyers in the industry.
