Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that our clients have been honored with multiple Deal of the Year awards on transactions on which we advised across various categories at the upcoming Global Banking and Markets Latin America & Caribbean Awards 2026. These accolades reflect Hogan Lovells’ strong presence in Latin America and the Caribbean and our deep experience advising on complex financings.

The firm was recognized for its role advising on three major deals:

Caribbean Deal of the Year: Advised the Government of the Bahamas on its US$1.067 billion offering of 144A/Reg S notes and concurrent debt tender offer

Blended Finance Deal of the Year: Advised the Republic of Ecuador on historic "debt-for-nature" swap to fund conservation projects in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The transaction consisted of a US$1bn 144A/Reg S offering of Biocorredor Amazónico Bonds by Amazon Conservation DAC, a related US$1 billion loan to the Republic and a repurchase of approximately US$1.53 billion of Ecuador’s international bonds, which is expected to generate over US$800 million in net fiscal savings for Ecuador by 2035

Securitisation Deal of the Year: Advised Guatemala-based Banco Industrial on its three-Series US$996 million offering from its diversified payment rights (DPR) securitization program. The nearly US$1 billion offering is believed to be the largest financial future flow offering ever from the Central American and Caribbean region

Winners will be showcased at the GBM Awards: Latin America & Caribbean 2026 on 26 February in Aventura, FL. The awards will recognize the most innovative & ground-breaking deals from Latin America & the Caribbean. Read more about the awards here.
