Hogan Lovells advises Sojitz Corporation on its full acquisition of Petroautos, S.A.

Tokyo, 17 June 2025 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised its long standing client, Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz), on its acquisition of full ownership of Petroautos, S.A. (“Petroautos”).

Sojitz aims to provide a high level of customer service in Panama and continue strategic expansion into the Central and South American automotive markets.

The Hogan Lovells team advising Sojitz was led by partner and APAC Regional Lead for Corporate & Finance, Jacky Scanlan-Dyas (Tokyo), with support from counsel Viet Nguyen (Tokyo), Tokyo associates Will Tan, Reina Goto, and Ardalan Khalafi, and paralegal Yuzumi Tsubaki.
