Brussels, 9 July 2025 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised French digital asset management company Private Corner on the successful launch of its first private fund in Belgium on 8 July 2025. The fund was set up in partnership with leading European healthcare private equity player Mérieux Equity Partners (MxEP). Private Corner specialises in private assets and has until now operated primarily in France. The launch marks a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy and reinforces MxEP’s presence on the Belgian market.

The newly established feeder fund, PC Feeder Mérieux Innovation 2 Belgium (a pricaf privée / private privak), was incorporated in May and successfully closed its first round on 8 July 2025. It aggregates capital from private investors and invests directly into its master fund Mérieux Innovation 2 FPCI. Managed by Private Corner, the feeder fund is classified as an Article 8 product under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). Mérieux Innovation 2 FPCI is in line with Mérieux Equity Partners' mission to accelerate and broaden patient access to products and services with a major transformative impact on their health. This second fund in Mérieux Equity Partners' innovation strategy has a target size of €150m. Its first was announced last April.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by corporate finance counsel Charles-Henri Bernard (Brussels), supported by associate Jolien De Troyer (Brussels). Tax matters were handled by Belgian law firm Tiberghien (Guillaume Delfosse).
