Nathan is an associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and Employment Group of the Hong Kong office of Hogan Lovells.

Nathan specializes in civil and commercial disputes, including shareholder and contractual disputes, asset recovery, global enforcement of arbitration awards and judgments,  insolvency and financial debt recovery. He regularly represents banks, financial institutions, multinational corporations and high net worth individuals. Nathan has also assisted in cases which have been heard in the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, British Virgin Islands and throughout different levels of the Hong Kong Courts. 

Nathan is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Representative experience

Advising Banks and financial institutions on financial disputes.

Representing multinational companies in Hong Kong proceedings to trace and recover misappropriated funds.

Advising on contractual and debt related disputes.

Acting for a high net worth individual in resisting the enforcement of a BVI Court of Appeal Judgment globally.*

Acting for a Chinese multinational company in the enforcement of a PRC arbitration award in Hong Kong, including successfully opposing an application to set aside the enforcement and appeal.*

Advising a high net worth individual in debt recovery and the contested enforcement of a PRC Judgment for approximately RMB50 million in Hong Kong.*

Representing a BVI corporate shareholder in a shareholder dispute and Hong Kong proceedings in relation to a Hong Kong private education company.*

Assisting a company in bringing proceedings in Hong Kong for breach of contract in respect of logistic services.*

Advising a German corporate group and its Hong Kong subsidiary in a winding up proceeding.*

Representing two international charities in Hong Kong disputes relating to the estate of a deceased person, including the distribution of funds from the estate to the beneficiaries.*
