Acclaimed for her dedication to helping clients build a more sustainable and inclusive future, Amy regularly advises clients on climate issues, renewable energy projects, ESG policies and regulations, corporate governance arrangements, and how the global energy transition will affect companies. 

She is experienced in advising on international energy and climate projects and transactions, including carbon trading, natural capital arrangements, and offshore and onshore wind, CCUS, wave, tidal and power projects.

Amy has been named an “ESG Rising Star” by IJGlobal, a “Leading Associate” by the Legal 500 UK, and is a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Young Innovator, having spent 10 months on an intensive course with the UN Global Compact being trained on delivering the SDGs to corporates. Amy has spoken at the UN General Assembly and the UK House of Lords about the role the law (and law firms) must play in protecting the planet.

She is a founding member of the firm’s global ESG leadership team and has been the architect of some of the group’s most innovative client offerings, including the award-winning ESG Global Vision tool and the unique ESG360⁰ consulting framework.

Amy is a member of the firm's gender equality committee and sits on the Social Enterprise Board.

Representative experience

The Crown Estate on the whole of its offshore wind portfolio in England and Wales, including its recent £9bn “Round 4” tender process to deliver 7GW of new offshore wind capacity in the UK.

The Crown Estate on the design and implementation of its new leasing round for floating offshore wind generation in the Celtic Sea.

Vodafone on its climate-related disclosures, commitments to the SDGs and green power purchase arrangements.

A private equity fund on the establishment of a responsible investment policy, ESG regulation in the UK and Europe and the SDGs.

The UK Government on the establishment of new social inclusion funds focusing on youth employment and access to sustainable loans, including fund structuring and investment criteria.

An international car manufacturer on its carbon pooling arrangements and EU regulations relating to emissions pooling.

Ofgem on the design and delivery of the new regulated asset base (RAB) economic regulatory model for CCUS transport and storage in the UK.

Civic a UK-based social enterprise and local citizens in Gambia with one of the most ambitious environmental projects ever planned - Africa’s Great Green Wall.
