Beatrice Wilden advises national and international clients on all aspects of patent law. Her focus is on advising clients in patent infringement and validity proceedings before German national courts, the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) at all instances, in particular in the fields of mechanics and in the life sciences sector. Beatrice is regularly involved in the coordination of multi-national patent disputes and has a very broad experience in representing clients in proceedings before the UPC. Besides her active involvement in UPC litigation, Beatrice also gives presentations on UPC related topics to internal and external audiences, which complements her practical experience.

Beatrice studied law at the University of Bonn. During her studies, she spent an academic year abroad at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, where she also took courses on Copyright, Patents and Allied Rights. After passing her First State Exam in law, she gathered practical work experience as a research assistant at a German major law firm in London, United Kingdom. Beatrice then completed her legal traineeship during which she has already worked with the patent team at our Dusseldorf office. She further spent a part of her traineeship working for a lawyer at the German Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe who also focusses on patent litigation.
