Alejandro leads the dispute resolution practice at the Monterrey, N.L. office. He has over 25 years of professional experience, during which he has represented clients in complex and strategic matters before arbitral tribunals and courts in Mexico and abroad. He has also served as an expert in Mexican law in international proceedings. Alejandro is also the host of “Abordando Derecho,” a Hogan Lovells podcast.

In addition to his client work, Alejandro is actively engaged in the development and promotion of arbitration and dispute resolution in Mexico. He has participated in numerous arbitration proceedings under the rules of leading institutions such as CAM, ICC, ICDR, and CANACO, and has represented both domestic and international companies in judicial proceedings related to arbitral enforcement and precautionary measures. His leadership extends to professional associations, having coordinated the Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods Commission of the BMA–Nuevo León Chapter, and he is a frequent speaker at prominent forums including the CAM-CANACO Forum, the ICC Mexico Arbitration Committee, and the Mexican Bar Association. Alejandro also contributes to legal education as an instructor for the Judiciary of the State of Nuevo León and as a professor of International Commercial Arbitration at the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey.
