Joseph Newton is a member of the Hogan Lovells global banking and finance team and is based in our Paris office. He works with a broad range of clients, including corporations, banks and private equity funds to provide solutions to their financing requirements.

Joe advises on financings for cross-border transactions, including acquisition financings, asset financings, real estate financings, insurance financings and margin lending and represents both borrowers and lenders. Joe has worked on transactions in a range of industry sectors including aviation, maritime, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, financial services and insurance, hotels and leisure and real estate.

Joe also has experience of bank regulatory and enforcement issues enabling him to assist clients with meeting their on-going regulatory requirements and with issues that may arise if a default scenario occurs after the completion of a financing transaction.
