Hogan Lovells announces new Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe

LONDON and WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hogan Lovells is delighted to announce the appointment of  Marie-Aimée de Dampierre as the firm's new Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe, as of 1 July.

The Continental Europe region at Hogan Lovells represents a quarter of the firm's revenue and some of the firm's key clients. The region comprises over 700 lawyers, including more than 200 partners and the team covers the full suite of the firm's services – Corporate, Finance, Disputes, Intellectual Property and Competition (including Trade). The region works across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, energy, life sciences, automotive, insurance and TMT.

Marie-Aimée joined Hogan Lovells 19 years ago.  She is a renowned intellectual property lawyer focusing on local and international disputes in trade mark law, copyright law, design law and unfair competition.  She was one of the first lawyers to ever advise on major deals involving the securitization of intellectual property rights. Chambers  describes her as 'a great strategist'. She took on the role of Paris OMP in 2010 and has grown the office revenue by over 40% over the last five years.

Marie-Aimée de Dampierre will be the firm's first female head of the region. She will succeed Burkhart Goebel who was appointed to the position in 2014.

Marie-Aimée de Dampierre takes on the Continental Europe Regional Managing Partner role as of 1 July. She takes over from Burkhart Goebel who led the region for the last four years and has been appointed global head of the firm's Intellectual Property practice.
